Many preschools wonder if they are setting their students up for life-long success. We can help make sure your school is.

Do your preschool students know how to manage emotions, solve problems and get along with others? When you incorporate Grow Brain Grow preschool curriculum and programming, they’ll learn how their brain works, and those skills come more naturally. You can boost students with social-emotional learning skills they need to be confident, resilient, empathetic and successful long after leaving your school. You can impact their entire future.

Is your SEL curriculum teaching learners to be mindfully brain-aware?

We’ve created a whole-child, research-based comprehensive curriculum and program to use with learners during their most significant period of neurological growth - early childhood. We help teachers and caregivers deliver effectively relevant mindful, social-emotional learning that intentionally teaches students how their brains work so they are empowered in their choices. We believe in honoring creativity in learning through storytelling and play-based learning and we support the Early Childhood Educator in making learning fun, exciting, relevant and neurologically supportive for every learner.

  • It’s a no-brainer that teaching kids how their brains work is crucial. Research shows that when students understand how their brains work and are taught how to create and develop a growth mindset, they are more apt to make necessary changes in behavior surrounding learning.

  • Renowned Stanford growth mindset researcher and psychologist Carol Dweck found that teaching students how their brains work (using the concept of neuroplasticity) makes a huge difference in how resilient kids are when dealing with mistakes and setbacks. Dweck also showed that increasing brain awareness contributed to students’ motivation in persisting with a challenge, struggle or new concept until attaining mastery.

  • When students learn what the different parts of their brains are and how they function and work together, they are empowered to see themselves as part of their developmental growth. Learning switches from something happening to me to something I can figure out how to engage with, learn from and apply to future learning. There is less self-blame and shame and more inquisitive, positive thinking, growth mindset, improved understanding of self and others and behavioral changes. Students also grow more confident, compassionate and understanding of themselves and others. Brain awareness supports perseverance and resiliency in learning which is critical for goal attainment.

Grow Brain Grow’s programming is incredibly affordable, beautifully designed, engaging for learners and educators and just what you need to set your preschool apart from the rest.

We’ll help your school:

  • Support and align classroom programming with all CASEL standards included.

  • Foster classroom community and relationship building as well as successful, supportive student-teacher relationships.

  • Meet learners at their developmental levels, recognizing diversity, interests and strengths, problem-solving and creative self-expression.

  • Engage students with story-based lessons that can be delivered in a whole group, small group or one-on-one manner, inviting learner discovery, collaboration, inquiry and exploration.

  • Integrate academic concepts including math, language, reading readiness, gross motor, fine motor, STEAM, creative expression, imaginative play and letter/sound awareness through exploratory center play.

  • Build self-regulation skills through activities and mindful movement, supporting responsible decision-making and self-awareness.

  • Support and grow the home-school connection and caregiver well-being.

  • Boost social-emotional skills through storytelling with animal characters who connect and become role models of social-emotional skills, which is neurologically supportive of the developmental early childhood learner.

  • Support teacher well-being with built-in educator wellness that aligns with each unit.

  • Support eco-kindness to connect the learner-world experience.

  • Support social awareness through empathizing skills and celebrating diversity.

I have noticed a huge difference in their thinking when they understand what is going on in their brain and why they cannot calm down. Students can then use what they know about the brain and use the tools taught to help them when things become difficult. The strategies taught in Grow Strong Roots will be beneficial for life.

The other day a student was having a difficult time with completing the task given. The student started to get upset and then took out a wipe-off marker and made a circle and started making lines and breathing in and out as they made the lines. When they were finished they went right to work. It was really fun to watch this.

Implementing Grow Strong Roots has helped my classroom have a common language around SEL, mindful, and brain awareness tools. Students will often remind each other of the tools we have when they’re needed (do your bee breathing, take a dragon breath, etc.) I have seen students working to stretch and bend their thinking more as a result of these lessons.
